Drug overdose deaths climb to 70,237 in 2017

U.S. drug-related overdose deaths rose to 70,237 in 2017, a 6.9 percent increase from 2016. 67.8 percent of which involved opioids and synthetic opioids were involved in 59.8 % of those deaths.
