Great Lakes PTTC: Connecting at the NPN Conference
The 32nd Annual NPN Conference (Chicago, Aug. 27-29, 2019) was a great opportunity for the Great Lakes PTTC team to get fresh ideas and learn more about the latest research on prevention. The conference featured nearly 50 workshops presented over the course of the two-and-a-half day conference.
Great Lakes PTTC Prevention Managers Chuck Klevgaard and Erin Ficker presented the workshop, Preventing Opioid Overdose: A new role for prevention. Essential roles for prevention include education, promoting strategies to limit prescription drug access, and strategies to expand Good Samaritan laws and access to naloxone.
