Publication Date: Oct 08, 2020

It’s hard to believe we’ve officially completed Great Lakes PTTC’s second year!

And what a year it has been.

We have worked hard to respond nimbly to the COVID-19 environment, continuously assess the prevention needs in our region, and transition to offering our TA and Training on virtual platforms.
Some of the highlights from year two that you may want to check out if you missed them live: Engaging Prevention in a Virtual Environment Part 1 and Part 2resources for bringing Prevention virtualAssessing the Local Impact of COVID-19 and Planning for An Evidence-Based Response and The Critical Role for Prevention During and Post Pandemic. We’ve also begun to build out our Preventing and Reducing Stigma landing page, with more content to come!

There’s so much more you can access from our first two years of our Great Lakes PTTC here and if you haven’t already, we recommend you visit the PTTC Network’s An Ecological Snapshot of Racial Inequity: How We Got Here and Where We Need to Go TOGETHERwhich is part of a series of resources on Emerging Issues Around Covid-19 and Social Determinants of Health for the Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Workforces, which can be found in total here.

We’re grateful to the over 2,500 participants who accessed our events and helped make our second year even more successful than the first. We look forward to continuing our work and supporting your prevention efforts across our region. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know what your needs are and how we can best support you. You can email me directly:

Wishing you all a healthy and happy Fall and Winter!
