A Healthy Future Starts with Prevention
October is Youth Substance Use Prevention Month, and the need for prevention has never been greater. If prevention is to be effective, we must focus on what works. We also know that early intervention is vital for youth. As adolescents' brains develop, every year substance use is delayed reduces the risks of addiction and substance misuse (samhsa.gov). We invite everyone to observe Youth Substance Use Prevention Month by using and sharing relevant resources as we continue to elevate prevention together.
