Naloxone for Opioid Overdose 101 Online Training
The Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC) with the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) Violence and Injury Prevention Program developed a short 15-20 minute “Naloxone for Opioid Overdose 101” Online Training. This training describes what opioids are and how they work, the signs of an opioid overdose, what naloxone is and how it works, when and how to use naloxone and Utah laws related to naloxone. The purpose of the training is to decrease opioid overdose deaths by training the public, first responders, and public safety officers how to use naloxone.
