ABOUT THE LEARNING SESSION:

Prevention specialists have a unique role in working with a variety of populations and cultures, and understand the importance of cultural humility in this work. Prevention is more effective when you understand the people you are serving. This guide seeks to offer prevention specialists a more in-depth perspective on South West Asian, Northern African (SWANA) populations in New England through four perspectives: geography, linguistics, specific substance concerns, and risk and protective factors.   Join us to learn more about this guide and how you can work more closely with SWANA people in your area.

About this webinar: This webinar was developed to address a need identified in HHS Region 1 (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI) to provide a more in-depth perspective on South West Asian, Northern African (SWANA) populations in New England.
