New Report - Smoking Cessation: A Report of the Surgeon General

sg cover photoA new report from the office of the U.S. Surgeon General represents a call to action to the nation to ramp up efforts to promote effective, evidence-based smoking cessation treatments. Quitting smoking can be challenging for many Americans, but there are proven treatments and strategies that can help people be smoke free. 

 

This report outlines the latest research around effective smoking cessation treatments and strategies, including effective counseling approaches as well as FDA approved medications. The report also highlights emerging opportunities to further promote and support cessation across the nation.
