This presentation will be delivered to the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program Workgroup (COAP). They are a group of community, judicial, and law enforcement stakeholders responsible for directing statewide criminal justice planning to identify, respond to, treat, and support those impacted by the opioid epidemic. COAP uses a data-driven, outcomes-based approach to identify priority problems and recommend strategies that address these priorities in Arkansas. The purpose of this presentation is to illustrate data collection in the form of a needs assessment that will show the characteristics of the Opioid Epidemic in Arkansas. Categories of data collection are:  demographic, overdose/deaths, PDMP, crime, prosecutions, youth involvement, drug testing, trends, hospital treatment/admissions, and qualitative data.
