Home > Fostering Dialogue: Exploring the Intersection between Prevention and Harm Reduction
This project engaged individuals who work in primary prevention and harm reduction to increase communication and understanding. By hosting in-person conversations and virtual follow-up interviews, we gleaned insights about how these two fields are similar, how they differ, and how they can work together. These dialogues helped to create a planning guide that that can be used by other groups interested in initiating dialogue in their community. Follow-up interviews with participants were produce into a mini podcast series, and a list of harm reduction and prevention resources was also made available.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our collaborators from CADCA, Partnership to End Addiction, National Indian Education Association (NIEA), and the many individuals who assisted in the development and production of this project. The project team and its collaborators would also like to thank all the community organizations and coalitions that participated in the “Fostering Dialogue” project. Their enthusiastic participation and insightful contributions made this work possible. Their commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant community is truly inspiring.
