AdCare Maine has been home to the New England Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) througha  SAMHSA cooperative agreement since 2018.  This is an exciting opportunity to engage with a variety of prevention partners in New England on prevention initiatives.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to AdCare Educational Institute of Maine’s Director of Operations, the Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of NE PTTC training programs and co-sponsored events. This position is a lead coordinator for conducting outreach and building collaborative relationships between the NE PTTC and prevention stakeholders in the New England states.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Heath, Social Services, or related field, or significant equivalent work experience with Associates Degree or specialized certification.
  • 3+ years full-time professional experience in substance use prevention. Equivalent part-time experience acceptable.
  • Experience in training development, implementing evidence-based practices, development of comprehensive prevention strategies, use of strategic prevention framework, and understanding of the coalition model.
  • Demonstrated experience in cultural responsiveness and sustainability
  • Solid knowledge of and training in addiction including alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
  • Experience in public health communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining quality of work.
