Pacific Southwest PTTC Hosts Prevention Professionals from the Pacific Jurisdictions

The Pacific Southwest PTTC hosted 12 prevention professionals from American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau at the University of Nevada, Reno campus for two training-of-trainers (TOT) events.  Participants completed TOTs in two curricula: 1) the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training and 2) Ethics in Prevention, using versions adapted for Pacific island populations.  Master trainer Pam Tindall, Pacific Southwest PTTC Director Alyssa O’Hair, and Pacific Prevention Trainer Florencio Walliby (FSM) facilitated this five-day event.
