PTTC Network - Year in Review

It was a year like no other. As coping strategies soured, our work preventing substance use became even more important. In only our second full year since inception, the PTTC Network faced our share of hurdles. Like many sectors we adapted the core of our work, prevention services and training, to virtual settings and overcame challenges as swiftly as possible. Early in the Pandemic, the PTTC Network convened a network coordination group that developed a series of pandemic response resources to support the transition to virtual prevention.
Notably, prior to the onset of global civil unrest following the death of unarmed Black individuals, the PTTC sought to highlight the differential impact of the pandemic in underserved communities and/or communities of color.
Through an initial listening session to frame the ongoing and emerging issues and subsequent strategic discussions to engage key communities, the intent was to gather strategies and resources to identify emerging best practices that can support underserved and/or communities of color. In addition to these important resources, we are proud of the 571 events and 381 products and resources created by the PTTC Network in 2020. Thank you to the PTTC staff and each contributor in this critical effort.
