The New England ATTC supports the mission of the ATTC Network to:

  • Accelerate the adoption and implementation of evidence-based and promising addiction treatment and recovery-oriented practices and services;
  • Heighten the awareness, knowledge, and skills of the workforce that addresses the needs of  people with substance use or other behavioral health disorders; and
  • Foster regional and national alliances among culturally diverse practitioners, researchers, policy makers, funders, and the recovery community.

New England MHTTC offers support at local, regional, and national levels on recovery-oriented  practices, including recovery supports, within the context of recovery-oriented systems of care. These include, but are not limited to, person and family-centered care planning and shared decision-making; peer support; supported employment, education, parenting, and spirituality; and other strategies to promote the community inclusion of children/youth and adults with serious mental illnesses and their loved ones. 

 

 

The New England MHTTC provides training, technical assistance, and tool and resource development to enable states and mental health practitioners to provide these types of recovery-oriented practices within the context of recovery-oriented systems of care.
