Hello, this message is for all of our New England PTTC partners, collaborators, supporters, and PTTC event participants. I wanted to share with you all that after nearly nine years as the Associate Executive Director for AdCare Educational Institute of Maine, Inc., and six years as the Director of the New England Prevention Technology Transfer Center, I will be leaving the organization for a new role in June. My last day with AdCare Maine and the New England PTTC will be June 14th.  Beginning June 17th, I will assume my new role as the SAMHSA Regional Director for Region 1 (New England).

Every ending is a new beginning, I am beyond excited to announce that the new Director for the New England PTTC is Erin Burnett and the new Co-Director for the program is Sarah Johnson. Along with the rest of our team, they will continue to bring you high-quality and innovative prevention training and technical assistance services. Join me in congratulating Erin and Sarah on their promotions!

I can’t leave this role without sending out some thanks:

Thank you to the members of our New England PTTC Advisory Council. Your guidance, feedback, and input into our programs have been invaluable over the last six years. I look forward to our continued partnerships in my new capacity.

Thank you to all of the content and subject matter experts we’ve worked with to design and deliver high-quality and impactful prevention science webinars, trainings, and prevention resources.

Thank you to my fellow Regional PTTC Directors and Co-Directors and our friends at the PTTC National Coordination Office. You all have been such supportive colleagues as we all worked together to build and launch this network, it’s been a real honor to work and partner with you all.

Finally, a huge thank you to our New England PTTC Team: Erin, Sarah, Kristen, Kate, Jessica, Kim, and Megan. You all are the best.  Our PTTC is what it is, has had the impact that it has had, thanks to the creativity, innovation, and drive you all bring to the work each and every day. I can’t wait to watch what you all do next because I know it will be amazing!

This isn’t goodbye, it’s “see you later”. As the next SAMHSA Regional Director for New England, I look forward to the opportunities ahead to partner with the New England PTTC team and the opportunities to support and partner with the top-notch prevention workforce we have here in New England.

Thank you for everything you do for New Englanders everywhere!

Sincerely,
Scott M. Gagnon, MPP, PS-C
