Title: Certified Prevention Specialist

Examination: IC&RC written exam

Educational / Training Requirements:

• Formal Education: BA/BS preferred.
• Training: 150 clock hours in prevention performance domains; 24 hours of these hours must be ATOD specific. 6 hours of Prevention Specific Ethics. Training must be within past 5 years.
   

Prevention Experience: One year or 2,000 hours paid or volunteer ATOD prevention experience within the past five years.

Prevention Supervision: 120 hours in prevention performance domains.
