Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) Training of Trainers

 

Series Description:

The Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) Training of Trainers (TOT) is an innovative training that prepares TOT participants to teach the four-day, in-person SAPST adapted for Pacific Islanders to new prevention practitioners. This TOT will provide an overview of the SAPST curriculum adapted for Pacific Islanders, provide opportunities for participants to practice teaching short sections of the curriculum, and receive feedback from their peers and master SAPST trainers.

 

Audience:

Pre-selected Prevention Professionals from the American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islanders, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.

Continuing Education:

Participants who complete this training will receive a certificate of participation. No partial credit is given for this course. Participants will need to confirm with their certification board to determine if these certification hours are accepted towards their specific certification requirements.
