Title: NH Certified Prevention Specialist

Educational / Training Requirements:
Prevention Experience: A minimum of 2,000 documented hours of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) related experience in the International Certification Reciprocity Prevention Performance Domains.
Supervised Prevention Experience: A minimum of 120 hours of supervised practical experience, with a minimum of 10 hours in each Performance Domain.
Code of Ethics: The Code of Ethical Standards must be signed and notarized.
Recertification Requirements: Re-certification is required every two years. Documentation of 40 hours of continuing education is needed at the time of each re-certification. This includes 34 hours of continuing education in the six domains and an additional 6 hours from an approved ethics training; for a total of 40 hours of CEUs. Re-certification ethics training can include any ATOD-related ethics workshops.
