Training Summary:  

Innovative Approaches to Youth Prevention in a Virtual World: This highly interactive, youth-directed training will focus on new and innovative methods to attract and engage today’s middle and high school students in local prevention initiatives, many of which are offered in an online setting.

Training Objectives:

• Invigorate our youth advocate’s enthusiasm for engaging in their prevention work.
• Provide insights to possible new virtual approaches to prevention.
• Provide new tools and/or resources for youth engagement that YPA’s can share with their local coalitions.
• Reenforce the “fun-factor” associated with prevention and the Youth Advisory Board.
• Enhance engagement, interaction, and bonding of current board members.
• Draw new Connecticut youth prevention leaders to the Board to expand board membership.
