Jessica's Response: | APF's Navigating Addiction publication has an entire chapter dedicated to using our 4 steps to communicating with a loved one. |
Participant Question: | Americans need education on safe alcohol use and understanding of what a dose of alcohol is, how long it takes for the body to process, and how to use safely. Do you have any suggested resources? |

Participant Question: | Can you share how we can connect with you to participate in the programming you were speaking about at the end? |
Jessica's Response: | We are scheduling a virtual enCompass training and an upcoming train-the-trainer session for enCompass. Email [email protected] if you would like to attend either of those. |
Participant Question: | In our group home, how do we address individuals transferring into an addicted home environment social component? |
Jessica's Response: | That is a difficult transition to make. Would like to learn more about the ages/characteristics of your group home residents. You can email me at [email protected] |
Participant Question: | First of all, I want to thank you, Jessica, for sharing your personal journey with your parent's substance abuse disorder. I work with foster youth and many of them have had their lives disrupted by a parent's substance abuse disorder and it has left them with various emotions and feelings toward their parents. Do you have educational resources that are directed toward educating youth directly affected? |

Participant Question: | What about families who are left behind and not supported and what about grieving those losses? |
Jessica's Response: | So important to support families. We have a project that remembers those lost to addiction and provides support for families. Any family members who want to get involved can visit https://www.stop-overdose.org |
