COURSE DESCRIPTION
Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to make choices that lead to optimal health. The places where people are born, live, learn, work, play, and age are known as the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). These conditions are primarily responsible for health inequities and shaped by the distribution of money, power, and resources at global, national, and local levels.
This two-part webinar series developed by the Central East Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) will increase the capacity of the prevention workforce to create innovative partnerships and collaborations through addressing the social determinants of health for improved population-level health. Participants will understand the social determinants of health (SDOH) and its connection to behavioral health, prevention, and wellness efforts.
Part II Webinar Goal:
Participants will understand the significance of creating innovative partnerships to explore strategies for more collaborative approaches to address the social determinants of health within their current prevention efforts
