This 8-week course (August 13-Oct 8) was developed in response to a need identified in Region 4 to provide professionals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee with policy skill-building competencies necessary to advance prevention policies at the organizational or municipal level. 

The course will cover the external steps (6-10) of the Policy Adoption Model with a mix of skill-building, applied practice, and open learning forums.  You may be asked to complete prep work before each session and an applied assignment after class. We encourage you to be an active and engaged participant and critically apply new knowledge and skills to your work.
