As Co-Director of the South Southwest Prevention Technology and Transfer Center (SSW PTTC), LaShonda leads the delivery of high-impact training and technical assistance (T/TA) by the SSW PTTC staff and consultants for partners across the region. She works to emphasize equity and approaches prevention through a trauma-informed lens.

Named Oklahoma Certified Preventionist of the Year in 2015, Ms. Williamson-Jennings brings nearly 20 years of experience working on state and federal contracts and grants and building trusting relationships with states and tribal-level clients. She has expertise in media-based prevention strategies, reducing compassion fatigue, youth access to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, and addressing historical trauma. Using the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), she coaches clients to align state and local prevention systems with priority needs.

Ms. Williamson-Jennings is a Certified Prevention Specialist with the Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol and Professional Counselors Association. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and her master’s degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
