Continuing Education Certificates

Certificates for Live Events:

Certificates are only available for those that register and attend a live webinar or in-person event.

*See bottom of page for more information on certificates for recorded webinars

To qualify for a certificate, participants must

1. Designate, during registration, which of the following certificates they would like:

  • Certificate of Completion with contact hours (This option should be chosen for participants that are Certified Prevention Specialist through (IC&RC) through their state board or have other licensure/credentials (besides those listed below) in which they will need to apply to their board for approval. Additionally, participants should choose this option if they are only in need of an attendance/completion record and do not have a specific certification or licensure.)
  • Certificate of Attendance with Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) for members of NAADAC (Please note: there are several organizations and boards that accept NAADAC Certificates.)
  • Certificate of Attendance with Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECHs) for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®/MCHES®)

(Designating which type of certificate allows our team to send you information about how to access your specific certificate. There are different guidelines for each of our designated providers. See below for specific guidelines for each provider.)

2. Attend the live webinar/training for at least 80% of the time. (Examples: For a 60 min webinar, participants need to attend for 48 mins. For a 90 min webinar, participants need to attend for 72 mins.)

3. Look for an email, sent from the Mountain Plains PTTC, within 5-business days of the live event, with instructions on how to access certificate.

NAADAC Evaluation: In the email sent, within 5 days of the live event, there will be a link to a specific NAADAC evaluation (different than the GPRA course evaluation). This evaluation is encouraged and helpful, but optional.

NAADAC Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) certificates are also accepted by these organizations and boards.

National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC)

CHES/MCHES Evaluation: In the email sent, within 5 days of the live event, there will be a link to a specific CHES/MCHES evaluation (different than the GPRA course evaluation). After completion of this evaluation, a separate email will be sent within 5-business days with instructions on how to access the CHES/MCHES specific certificate.
The Mountain Plains PTTC is a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECHs) in health education by NCECH. Programs we offer are designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®).

Certificates for Recorded Webinars/Online Courses:

Unfortunately, we do not offer certificates for our recorded webinars. However, many of our recorded webinars are available on the (HEK) online learning portal, which does offer certificates of completion.
The online learning portal offers a wide variety of courses in the areas of improving health and health services.

You can find our specific courses available on HEK here: Online Courses on HealtheKnowledge offers a Certificate of Completion for you to keep once you have passed the course requirements. If continuing education (CE) credit is required, this is available for most courses for $5 per credit hour.
