Title: Refine It

Description: Editing presentation content in alignment with brain science and adult learning principles.

Training Description:

Do your presentations inspire and influence your audiences? Do you know how to tackle tough topics and information overload? Prevention professionals use presentations as a primary strategy to share content knowledge, build skills, ignite calls to action, and affect culture change. Many of us have attempted to create compelling presentations; however, most of us never receive any formal training in presentation design - despite all we expect presentations to do for us. In this six-session, virtual training and learning lab series, you will learn practical skills to plan and deliver exceptional presentations using the tools and resources you already have.

Learning Objectives:

·     Describe a four-step process to create brain-friendly presentations

·     Describe the most common presenter mistakes and understand how to prevent them

·     Identify and utilize tools and techniques that enhance learning

·     Discuss audience engagement and participation both online and in-person

·     Explain and display data effectively

·     Design and deliver compelling, polished visual aids for presentations

·     Identify ways to transfer knowledge to peers and key stakeholders

Target Audience:

Prevention Professionals in Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming that deliver presentations and train others in their communities.
