LaShonda Williamson-Jennings is deputy director of the Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center and co- director of the South Southwest Prevention Technology Transfer Center. Named Oklahoma Certified Prevention Specialist of the Year in 2015, Williamson-Jennings brings two decades of expertise in cutting-edge training and technical assistance in the prevention field.  

Emphasizing equity centered and trauma-informed prevention, Williamson-Jennings’ 20 years of prevention work started in northwest Oklahoma while she pursued her master’s in adult education and administration, growing in scope to include direct service delivery to grant management and training and technical assistance at the state, Tribal, regional, and national levels.  

Williamson-Jennings’ experience involves creating a supportive environment that reinforces continuous improvement, creative thinking, and sustainable outcomes-based change. She is also skilled in project coordination, face-to-face and online training facilitation, and technical assistance delivery. She is an internationally certified prevention specialist, underscoring her commitment to the field. 

Williamson-Jennings’ vision as a training and technical assistance provider is to make culturally responsive, high quality, and high-impact training and technical assistance accessible to partners to help them build stronger communities.
