Purpose

To enable students to understand the significance of substance use prevention, categorize prevention approaches, understand the spectrum of behavioral health care services, and apply the concepts through individual and interactive activities.

 

Learning Objectives

  1. Categorize the four types of behavioral health services by each of the Spectrum of Mental Emotional and Behavioral Health.
  2. Characterize Universal, Selective, and Indicated prevention services through an application activity.
